The range

Every BNC variant we stock

The variants differ on three things: what's plated, how big the barrel is, and how the barrel is knurled. Filter below, or read the comparison further down if you're not sure which one your buyer is asking for.

RG-BNC-SG BNC Semi Gold connector with nickel body and gold-plated centre contact

BNC Semi Gold

Nickel-plated barrel with the collar and centre contact in gold. The volume seller — gold where the current flows, nickel where it doesn't.

RG-BNC-FG BNC Full Gold connector, gold plated across body, collar and contact

BNC Full Gold

Gold plating across the whole body, collar and contact. Uniform finish end to end, and the one customers pick when the connector is visible on the set.

RG-BNC-DT BNC Dotted type connector with diamond knurled barrel

BNC Dotted

Diamond knurl cut across the barrel, so the surface reads as dots. Grips well with dry or oily fingers and doesn't slip during a quick swap.

RG-BNC-LN BNC Lining type connector with straight line knurled barrel

BNC Lining

Straight knurl cut in blocks down the barrel. The ribs are deeper than the dotted pattern, which makes it the easier one to turn with pliers.

Where they're used

What buyers fit them into

BNC is a bayonet-lock coaxial connector: push, quarter-turn, locked. That lock is why it stayed the standard anywhere a cable gets handled often and must not fall out.

CCTV and video

The bulk of what moves through our counter. Camera to DVR runs, patch leads, and replacement ends for cable already pulled through conduit.

Test and measurement

Oscilloscope leads, signal generators and bench patching, where connectors are mated and unmated dozens of times a day and plating wear shows first.

Panel and rack assembly

The female variant mounts through a panel and takes the male from the front, which is how most enclosure and rack builds terminate a coax run.

Audio and broadcast

Word clock, timecode and digital video links in studio racks, where a locked connector matters more than a fast one.

Repair and service counters

Small counts, mixed variants, bought regularly. We pack in counted boxes for this so your counter staff aren't weighing out loose pieces.

Small-batch manufacturing

Where the same part goes onto a line week after week and the finish has to match the last lot. This is what the per-lot plating check is for.

Before you order

Trade names for these parts are not standardised. Two suppliers can sell different things under the same variant name, so match on the comparison table above rather than the name alone.

If your application depends on an exact dimension, impedance or cable size, ask us in writing and we will confirm it against the lot we would ship you.

For anything outside this list — a different plating spec, or a part made to your own sample — send the sample or the drawing.

Supply

How we ship it

Standard terms for the BNC line. Anything outside this — custom plating, printed boxes, a mixed pallet — ask and we'll price it.

Plating checked per lot

Gold thickness is sampled from every plating lot before it's packed, so the colour and the contact resistance stay consistent across a repeat order.

Packed for the counter

Loose in poly bags for bulk, or in counted boxes if you're selling over a counter. Tell us the count you want per box and we'll pack to it.

Samples before the order

We send a sample set of the variants you're considering, so your workshop can check the fit before you commit to a quantity.

Held in stock

All seven variants are kept on the shelf in standard quantities. Big or mixed orders are confirmed with a dispatch date when we quote.

Ordering

How an order runs

Four steps from first message to dispatch. Most enquiries clear the first two on the same day.

Tell us the variant

Name it from this page, or send a photo of the part you're replacing and we'll identify it. A photo is usually faster than a description.

Get the rate

We come back with a rate for your quantity, the packing option, and a dispatch date. Ask for the full rate list if you buy across variants.

Check a sample

On a first order, or when you're choosing between variants, we send samples so your workshop can check the fit before you commit.

Confirm and dispatch

Confirm the quantity and delivery city. We pack to your count, raise the invoice against your GSTIN, and dispatch.

Questions

Asked before you buy

If your question isn't here, send it on WhatsApp — we'd rather answer it before the order than after.

What's the difference between semi gold and full gold?

Semi gold has a nickel-plated body with the collar and centre contact in gold — gold where the current flows, nickel where it doesn't. Full gold is plated gold across the whole part.

Electrically they behave the same, because the contact surfaces are gold on both. The difference is appearance and cost. Full gold is chosen when the connector is visible on the finished equipment.

What does dotted and lining actually mean?

It's the knurl pattern cut into the barrel — the grip. Dotted is a diamond knurl, so the surface reads as small raised dots. Lining is a straight knurl cut in blocks running down the barrel.

Lining has deeper ribs, which makes it the easier one to turn with pliers. Dotted grips better with bare fingers. Nothing else about the part changes.

Will the male and female halves mate across variants?

Yes. Every male variant on this page mates with the female, regardless of plating or grip pattern. Plating and knurl are finish choices, not fitment changes.

What's the difference between small size and big size?

Big size has a longer barrel and a wider collar. It's specified for thicker cable and for work that gets handled roughly on site, where the extra grip length helps.

If you're replacing an existing part, send us a photo alongside a ruler or a coin and we'll tell you which size you're holding.

Can I order a small quantity, or mix variants in one order?

Yes to both. Counter retailers and repair workshops buy small and mixed all the time. Send the list with counts against each variant and we'll quote the whole thing together.

Do you send samples before a bulk order?

Yes. Tell us which variants you're comparing and we'll send a sample set so your workshop can check the fit first. We'd rather spend a sample than take back a wrong box.

Will a repeat order match the last one?

That's what the per-lot plating check is for. Gold thickness is sampled from every plating lot before packing, which is what keeps colour and contact resistance consistent across repeat orders.

If you're matching against stock you already hold, mention it when you order and we'll check against the same specification.

Do you supply parts that aren't on this page?

Yes. We handle custom plating specifications and parts made to your own sample. Send the sample or the drawing and we'll tell you whether it's a stock item, a plating change, or a new tool.
